GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Thanks to those hardy mothers who turned up at our night out.  We managed to raise £124 for the Minis and the mums all seemed to have a good time.  It was nice just to relax and enjoy the blether.  Hope there weren’t too many headaches the next day!

TOUR

Could all parents of the P6 & P7’s who are going on tour be at the club on Sunday 9 April to collect & pay for the kit bag/hoody (£27.00).  This will be the only time you can collect the kit.

There will be a flyer on collection of kit (bus time, money etc)

BORDER REIVERS

Also on the 9th we are hoping to have a couple of Borders players at Riverside.  Kelly Brown and Callum McCrae will be training with us on that day.  There will be food after training (hot dogs).  Could any mums contact me to help out in the kitchen please? Carol 01835 830781 or cbm140@aol.com.

SHOP

There will be a final end of season sale don’t miss your bargains.

DONATION

We have to thank RJT Excavations for their very generous donation to the Minis.  This will be used for the tour.

SPONSOR MONEY

Once again can I remind you that we do not have all sponsor money in.  We have only 30  in at the moment and would obviously like all this to be totalled before the end of the season.  So please give to Carol, or one of your coaches.

COACHES

We are losing two coaches at the end of this season and are looking for some more willing helpers.  Anyone interested contact any coach or  Carol.  Any new members willing to come on board would be appreciated; we will also need some new committee members

Thanks to all who have helped at the club, especially Jimmy, Eileen  & Alan who leave this season

Coffee Morning held in the Royal British Legion on Saturday 28th January.  PLEASE any donations of homebaking,(tray bakes, scones etc) are a big hit, again please let Carol know if you are able to make something, which you can either bring on the morning or hand in before the date.

We need at least 4 helpers for the cake and candy, 8 for serving the coffee (please bring your own coffee flasks if possible) and 2 for the bric a brac.

We also have a raffle so any donations of Raffle prizes would be much appreciated, (bottles, smelly stuff, biscuits etc)

SPONSORED AEROBICS – FEBRUARY 19TH

Please find attached an aerobics sheet for Sunday February 19th.  There will be a shorter (½ hr) training session and ½ hour aerobics session.  Mums and Dads are asked to join in too.  Please start and get your sponsors now.

If  you have any comments/suggestions please contact Carol on 01835 830781 or email cbm140@aol.com.

BORDER REIVERS V  L’A QUILA SAT 21st JANUARY

Jed Minis have been invited to Netherdale on Satuday 21 January to train with the Border Players.  This is open to all of the Mini age groups. After training they will be asked to parade in their club strips during half time in front of a (hopefully) large crowd.

You will require a packed lunch on the day.

Take a pen with you and get the players autographs after the game.

It would be a good idea to take a change of clothes (just in case you get wet!)

For every 20 adult tickets purchased through the club, we will get a discount made to the Minis.  So come along and watch the game and support the kids on the day.

PLEASE  phone your coach no later than TUESDAY 17 JANUARY to allow us to calculate ticket numbers and organise a bus.  I’m afraid that after that date, we will not be able to get tickets  We know that this is short notice, but we feel that this would be a great opportunity for the kids.

FINALLY

A HUGE THANK YOU TO LIZ & CRAIG COWAN AND SANDRA AND CLARK SKELDON WHO DID THE NEW YEARS RAFFLE AT RIVERSIDE RAISING £194.14.

NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER

Tournament

Thank you for the superb effort made at the tournament.  Again this turned out to be a very successful day and the minis will  benefiT greatly from this.  Thank you for all your contributions of soup, food etc.

There are still some trays/dishes to be collected, and these will be in the shop for a limited time only.  If they are not collected they will be binned, so make sure you get yours!  If you made soup please check if you have the correct  round containers (check for wrong  lid right tub !)

SCOTLAND V NEW ZEALAND 26th NOVEMBER

There are 40 tickets for this game, but you MUST phone Eileen for your place  The bus will leave Jedburgh at approximately 12.30pm and leaving Edinburgh around 4.30pm.  We will probably be stopping at the chip shop on the way home, so the kids will need some money.

Jimmy and Steve ran the Jedburgh Half Marathon and money raised by them will be donated to keep the price of the tickets to £10.00.  So a big thank you to them.

P6/P7  TOUR
There will be an meeting to update everyone about the tour on WEDNESDAY 23 NOVEMBER at 7.30pm.  Please come along with any questions/queries you may have
SHOP

The shop will be open most (but not all) Sundays where you can purchase kit.

The stock will be at the swimming pool in December with all the new stock available there.  You can buy the old rugby shirts that day too.  These will be great for training.

KIT

Again PLEASE label all kit.  Most weeks I am asked by parents that some kit has been left.

TRAINING/GAMES

After last weeks mudbath at training,(how many of you went home in your underpants?) Could we encourage  that a dry set of kit be brought each week.  The showers are available after training/games.

Now that we are playing double games this season, it would be helpful if the kids brought something to keep warm with when they are not playing.
